OUR STORY

We LOVE shoes.  We just LOVE them!! Well, Lenore (aka the lady who is the force behind Wink) is seriously OBSESSED with them - has been for many, many years.  So, it was a natural progression to open a dedicated shoe store... that way the obsession can be shared!

It is our aim for you to fall in love with the wonderful selection of shoes that we carefully curate each season.  The shoes we select come from all over the world.  We try every shoe on as part of our selection process to check on the fit, but most importantly - the comfort.  We strive really, really hard to make our own WINK collection from all the ranges that we see.  The goal - a collection that is stylish, comfortable and just a little different.

We opened our first shoe store in 2012, in Hanmer Springs.  However, a change of direction saw us move Wink into Christchurch and we were super excited to have opened a store in Ferrymead in early 2017.  In 2026, we bravely decided to make another big change, we closed our gorgeous Ferrymead store and transitioned into a 'Shopping by appointment' in our studio store at WINK HQ, we continue to sell online and are planning to 'Pop-up' - so watch this space! We couldn't be happier with this change!

Over the last few years the ethical and social responsibilities of the fashion industry have become very important to us. We work closely with the brands we stock to be transparent about the way their products are produced and the responsibilities involved - ethically and socially.  We are also extremely conscious of the environmental impacts associated in our business and are taking steps to minimise our emissions and the impact we make in the world.

Remember our motto...you really can never have too many shoes!
