What to expect at a Wink personal shopping session

You've booked in for a free personal shopping session — and now you're wondering what actually happens when you get here.

We get it. For many of our Wink ladies, this is the first time they've ever done anything like it, and it's completely normal to feel a bit unsure. So here's exactly what to expect, start to finish.

Before you arrive

There's no homework, no Pinterest board required, no need to "prepare." Just come as you are. If you do have a photo of an outfit you love, an event you're dressing for, or a colour you can't stand — bring it along, it all helps. But it's genuinely not essential.  If there is something specific you wan to try, then let us know in the questions that are part of the booking process.

1. Let us know your sizing - footwear / clothing.  
2. Do you know what style you would like to try (we can have it ready for you!). 
3. Are you bringing a friend?

When you get here

You'll be welcomed into our home-based studio — no crowded changing rooms, no rails to dig through on your own, no one hovering. It's just you, one of us, and a relaxed, unhurried half hour.

We'll have a chat first. What's the occasion, if there is one? What's already working in your wardrobe? What do you feel amazing in, and what do you avoid? This bit matters more than people expect — it's how we make sure what we pull actually suits your life, not just what's trending.

The styling itself

Based on that chat, we'll pull a curated selection of pieces suited to you — your colouring, your shape, your budget, your everyday reality. You try things on, we talk through what's working, and we adjust as we go. No pressure, no "hard sell." If something's not you, we move on. If something makes you feel brilliant, we'll tell you honestly — because we'd never just say yes to make a sale.

Is there any pressure to buy?

None at all. The session itself is free, and it's yours whether you buy nothing, one thing, or a whole new wardrobe. Our job is to help you feel good in what your wear — a sale is a nice outcome, not the point of the appointment.

What you leave with

Even if you don't walk out with an item, most of our Wink ladies leave with something more useful: a clearer sense of what actually suits them, a few new combinations they hadn't thought to try, and (usually) a bit more confidence getting dressed.
